Château La Colombière : an authentic and unique vineyard

La Colombière’s vineyard covers 17 hectares of vines, aged from 15 and 45 years old, planted on a unique gravelly soil of red siliceous pebbles. Grape varieties are the local Négrette, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Gamay.

 

The vineyard was at the XVth century residence of Church, and then, the property of the Chabanon family from the french revolution to early in the 80’s.

The Baron François de Driésen has restructured the vineyard in the 80’s, which is now run by his daugther Diane and her husband Philippe Cauvin.

 

Philippe and Diane are working with passion on the production and eloboration of organic wines, using bio-dynamic methods; Each wine being elegant, rich in fruit, expressive and unique!

Wines are bottled at the Château in the traditionnal local Bourgundy style bottle.
