Jean Christophe Perraud saw his childhood dream come true in July 2004, when he started making wine from less than 4 ha.

After finishing his studies on oenology and viticulture and only in 4 years time, Jean Christophe managed to gather all the vineyards of the family property, take them out of the cooperative to create in 2008, his own domain the Domaine Perraud.

With the help of his parents, Jean Christophe vinifies in a brand new cellar, wines of great finesse and elegance in the charming area of Macon.

His name Perraud (pronounced Pero) reminds Charles Perrault the writer of «Little Red Hood» from whom Jean Christophe was inspired to create his labels and name his different cuvées.

We are in the southern part of the Côte Chalonnaise, know fort he white wines.

At the age of 33, Stéphane already appears to be an old hand in the profession with 15 years worth of experience and experiments! Both apply to this atypical, innovating winegrower. His success is built on this hectare of vines inherited from his grandfather. He rents another three hectares from a producer who was due to retire.

That’s all it took Stéphane Aladame to decide to stay, put and make his own wine, wholly from old vines, redolent with the distinctive of the terroir.

You have to let nature have its way, says Stéphane. He has just plunged 300 bottles of Montagny 1er Cru 20 metres beneath the sea near Saint Malo to measure the effects of tidal movement on changes to the wine.

Always looking forward for new things to improve his wines, wines to be enjoyed for their fruitiness and liveliness!

In the kingdom of Crémants, times have changed. At Louis Picamelot estate, a 80 year-old estate, they are far from the very first sparkling wines  : even if they are  proud of the bottles which had been embarked in Paul-Emile Victor’s cases in 1948-1949 for Antarctica , they are much prouder of XXI century’s Cuvées. Here are produced top range Crémants, which have been namely praised by Guide Hachette this year. The estate, founded in 1926 by Louis Picamelot, then managed by Philippe Chautard since 1987, is leading this movement. Picamelot produces 120 000 bottles. With grapes selected among around 60 winegrowers, located from Vergisson ( Maconnais ) to Côtes de Nuits, but also with grapes harvested in Picamelot’s own vineyards. Three years is, according to Philippe Chautard, the minimum time required for a Cuvée like “ Jean-Baptiste” or a “Clos du Chaigne”.

Same situation when Philippe Chautard dared to launch  the overgrafting of Chardonnay on Pinot Noir vine stocks in Saint-Aubin appellation, in order to get the next harvest (2009) in white Saint-Aubin. A whole year of everyday work at vineyards to be sure of the success of the operation. All for a wine that will not be sold before 2011. Their Cuvées “Jeanne Thomas” or “Jean-Baptiste” have been already widely gold and silver awarded and are served in great restaurants. If Chef Jacques Lameloise , 3 stars restaurant of Chagny, is recommending them to its guests, that’s more than a sign….That is recognition !

A family domain of 10 ha situated in some of the most beautiful appellations of Meursault!

Vincent Boyer takes over his father in 2000 and he is the 4th generation of winemaker in the family.

After his studies in wine making and viticulture, Vincent spends some time working in California and Australia before coming back in Meursault.

His philosophy is a rigorous work in the vineyards to get the best crop possible. His vinification style gives wines with pure aromatic character, finesse and elegance.

He has been recognized by his colleagues at the French revue « Bourgogne Aujourd’hui » as « Hope of the year » in 2007!

Louis Chenu, Burgundy wines in Savigny-les-Beaune

Louis Chenu Père & Filles is a family winery in Savigny-les-Beaune, Burgundy. They have been working the vine and producing wine for five generations now. This wine is part of the family and is very dear to them.

The first parcels of vineyard were bought by Louis Chenu in 1914 and are today worked by his great grandson Louis Chenu with the help of his wife and daughters. They are constantly aware of the importance of respecting the vineyard, the quality of the wine and providing a warm welcome for customers who visit our cellars.

Juliette and Caroline have been working as a team for a number of years to strengthen and build on the quality of the wines.

The Gros family established in Vosne Romanée in 1830. Michel GROS started to work with his father on the family estate when he finished his studies at Beaune’s Viticultural high school in 1975.

Michel was running his father estate together with his own until his father retired in 1995. His domain presents today a total of 20 ha with appellations going from Nuits St Georges, Vosne Romanée, Chambolle Musigny and the Hautes Côtes de Nuits.

Michel thinks that a good wine is made in the vineyards. His meticulous work and long

experience offered him the title of “Best wine maker” and “Best Pinot Noir” two years in a row (2002-2003) at the International Wine Challenge.

Six hectares concentrated around their winery in Vougeot. The domain Clerget has

established between Chambolle Musigny, Morey St Denis, Vougeot and Vosne Romanée, for4 generations.

Christian and his wife Isabelle live their life in the rhythm of their vines like if the vines were the garden of their house.

They know each plot and respect them so that they can get the best wine, the wine that has the right expression of the soils!

​In the 19th century Pierre Bourée took over a wine business founded in 1864 in Gevrey-Chambertin and gave his name to it.He acquired a vineyard clos , called LA JUSTICE, in 1903, surrounded by walls, running alongside the N°74 main road. Pierre planted vines, giving it the name « CLOS DE LA JUSTICE »In 1922, his son Bernard succeeded him and created the current sign of the house : PIERRE BOUREE FILS. He bought a plot of Grand Cru vineyard in CHARMES-CHAMBERTIN.In 1945, Bernard Bourée began training his nephew, LOUIS VALLET, who then, assisted by his brother FRANCOIS, became the director of the house. Together, they enlarged the cellars and fermenting room whilst developing the business outside of Europe.As time passed, the vineyards were extended : In 1985 with BEAUNE 1er cru Les Epenottes
In 1993 with GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN, GEVREY-CHAMBERTIN 1er cru Les Champeaux, BOURGOGNE ROUGE and in the past year with BOURGOGNE BLANCToday, BERNARD and JEAN-CHRISTOPHE VALLET run the house.
